Community Service
Finance and Investment Society is committed to serving the Madison Community. We firmly believe that a good business person is also an outstanding member of his or her community. Each semester, our group holds at least five community service events. In the past, we have volunteered in many local events and held successful food drives. Not only do these events aid the community, but they also function to bring our group closer in a fun environment.

Social Events
FIS members are encouraged to be involved in the many social events. FIS sponsored events from the past include: cookouts, bowling, Poker tournaments, the semi-annual Chicago trip, and the numerous nights out at the bars. These socials allow members to get to know each other better in enjoyable settings. Many of the speakers also attend the socials following the meetings, which gives us excellent opportunities to talk with them outside of a classroom or formal settings. We will announce the social events at each meeting, so be there, and we look forward to the good times to come this semester.

Chicago Trip
Every semester, FIS has traveled to Chicago. Previous trips to Chicago were a success, seeing the business life of Chicago during the day and experiencing the nightlife of Chicago in the evening. It is also another way to get to know fellow FIS members in a different setting. The trip is typically one day long, where we will leave in the morning on Friday, April 16th and return in the afternoon on Saturday, April 17th. We will announce a more detailed schedule as plans become more finalized. Money ($70) is due by February 25th to either Ben, Mike, Katie, or our mailbox in the ALC.
